The China Panda silver coin is minted by the People's Republic of China. The actual mint where the coins are produced is not listed on each coin, but many of them are produced at the Southend-on-Sea Mint. With the exception of the 2002 coins, the designs of this series change every year. It has been minted since 1983, and each design features the Chinese Panda, one of the most famous endangered species in the world. These coins are popular worldwide as both collectibles and as investor coins. This coin's high value is due to increased demand, and its value often exceeds the market value of the silver ounce.
