Birds of Prey is a special edition of the Canadian Maple Leaf series produced by the Royal Canadian Mint. The series will include four different silver coins. They are expected to be issued during only two years: 2014 and 2015. The first edition is the Peregrine Falcon coin. Each coin in this series will be a limited edition, and each coin minting is expected to be exactly one million. Celebrating Canada's predatory birds, these bullion coins feature the same quality and artistry that has made both gold and silver coins from the Royal Canadian Mint collector favourites. The coin is worth more in silver than its face value of 5 Canadian Dollars. Each coin has a security feature: a laser engraved security mark. Each one also comes with a certificate of authenticity.
